Why the profile beats the website for local work
For a trade or a service business, most of the searches that matter happen on a phone, and the map block sits above everything else. The customer taps, calls, and never loads a website. If the profile is wrong or thin, you are invisible in the place people actually look.
This is also the part nobody maintains. Hours go stale, a category is wrong from the day it was created, and the public can suggest edits to your listing that you never see.
What actually moves it
Categories first, because the primary category decides which searches you are eligible for at all, and it is the thing most often set wrong. Then completeness: services, products, service area, attributes, hours that include holidays.
After that it is photos of your real work, answering the questions the public posts, and replying to reviews. None of it is clever. It is just done, consistently, which almost nobody does.
What we actually do
Categories set right
Primary and secondary chosen against what people actually search, not what sounds most impressive.
Complete profile
Services, service area, attributes, and hours including the holidays that cost you calls every year.
Real photos
Your trucks, your crew, your finished work. Stock photography reads as fake and performs like it.
Reviews answered
Every review gets a reply, including the bad ones, because the reply is written for the next reader.
Questions watched
The public can post questions and answers on your listing. Somebody should be answering those, and it should be you.
Edits monitored
Google accepts suggested edits from strangers. We watch for hours or addresses changing without your say-so.
Frequently asked
Can you get me into the map pack?
Nobody can promise that. Proximity to the searcher is a large factor and no one controls it. What we control is whether your profile is complete, correctly categorized, and consistent with the rest of your presence, which is the part that is usually broken.
Will you create a listing for an address I do not really operate from?
No. Fake and lead-gen listings get suspended and can take the real one down with them. If you serve customers at their location rather than yours, there is a legitimate service-area setup and we will use that instead.
My listing was suspended. Can you fix it?
Sometimes. Reinstatement depends on why it was suspended and whether the underlying issue is fixable with real documentation. We will tell you honestly if we think it is not recoverable rather than bill you to find out.
How often does it need attention?
Setup is the bulk of it. After that it is periodic: photos, review replies, questions, and checking nobody has edited your hours. That can be monthly or you can do it yourself and we hand you the checklist.
Do reviews matter that much?
Yes, and the count matters more than the average for most local searches. We will not write or buy reviews. What works is asking every customer, at the right moment, with a link that takes one tap.
