Why this is a separate service
If the only thing we sold was building automations, every answer we gave you would be to build one. Splitting the assessment out means we can tell you the honest answer, which for a lot of small businesses is that two things are worth doing and the other eight are not.
You can take the list and hire anybody to do the work, including nobody. It is yours.
What we look at
Where your people spend time, what work is repetitive enough to hand off, what data you already have and what state it is in, which of your systems can talk to each other, and what the risk looks like if a machine gets something wrong.
That last one gets skipped by most people selling this. A wrong quote sent to a customer, a misread invoice, or a private record fed to the wrong service costs more than the automation saved.
What you get
A written assessment: the tasks worth automating ranked by what they cost you today, a rough number and timeline for each, the things we recommend against and why, and the risks worth knowing about before you start.
Plain language, no vendor names dropped in to look impressive, and no ranked list engineered to end with a proposal from us.
What we actually do
Where the time goes
We look at the actual hours your team spends, because the expensive tasks are rarely the ones that feel annoying.
What your data looks like
Most AI ideas fail on data that is scattered, inconsistent, or trapped in a format nothing can read. Better to know first.
What your systems can do
Whether the software you already pay for can participate at all, which decides most of what is realistic.
Honest cost and timeline
Rough numbers per item so you can compare them against what the task costs you today.
What to skip
The parts not worth buying, named specifically, with the reason. Usually the longest section.
Risk and privacy
What happens when it is wrong, what data would leave your building, and what that means for your customers.
Frequently asked
Is this just a sales call for your other services?
No, and that is why it is priced and delivered separately. You get a written list you can hand to anybody. If the honest answer is that you should not spend money on this right now, that is what the document will say.
Will you tell me AI cannot help me?
Sometimes, yes. For plenty of small businesses the real win is fixing a broken process or using software they already pay for properly. Those are cheaper answers and we would rather give you one than sell you a build.
Do I need to understand the technology?
No. The assessment is written for an owner, not an engineer. If a recommendation cannot be explained in plain language then it is not clear enough to act on.
What about my customer data?
It is part of the review. We look at what would leave your building, what would not, and which options keep sensitive records in-house. For some businesses that constraint rules out the popular tools, and you should know that before you commit.
How long does it take?
Usually a couple of conversations plus a look at how the work actually runs, then the written assessment. Days to a couple of weeks depending on how complicated the business is.
Can I hire someone else to do the work?
Yes. The list is specific enough to hand to another contractor, and that is intentional. If we earn the build we would rather earn it on the assessment being right.
