The gap between the office and the floor
Plenty of South Texas shops run great machines off a workflow held together with USB sticks, one ancient laptop, and a prayer. Programs get walked across the shop. The one PC that talks to the machine is older than some employees, and everyone is afraid to touch it. That gap between the office and the floor is exactly where we work.
What we set up
- Program transfer. Send programs from the office to the machine over the network instead of walking media across the shop.
- Machine PCs. The old Windows box that runs the machine, kept alive, imaged so it can be rebuilt, and replaced carefully when the day comes.
- Serial and legacy connections. Older controllers speak older languages. We wire modern networks to talk to them.
- Shop-floor networks. Cabling and Wi-Fi that handle dust, metal, distance, and forklifts.
- Backups for programs and settings. Your part programs are business records. Losing them to one dead drive is not an option. See data backup.
Mills, lathes, routers, plasma tables, laser cutters, embroidery machines, sign plotters. If it takes a file and makes a thing, we can usually get it talking to your office.
Straight talk
We are computer and network people who have spent 25 years around South Texas shops. We do not program parts and we do not service spindles. We handle everything between your office and the machine's controller, and we work alongside your machine dealer when the job crosses lines.
Towns we cover
We are based in Alice and in Corpus Christi most mornings, so most of the Coastal Bend is a short drive for us. We take service calls in Corpus Christi, Alice, Kingsville, Orange Grove, San Diego, Beeville, Robstown, Calallen, Portland, and the towns in between.
